Boohoo receives Pride 365 certification

ONLINE fashion store Boohoo.com becomes the first British retailer to get Pride 365’s certification for its ‘inclusive culture’.

The five brands the firm has in Manchester- Boohoo, BoohooMan, PLT, Nasty Gal, and MissPap- are all covered by the certification.

John Lyttle, chief executive of Boohoo said: “We’re very proud that our efforts to create a great work environment, means that we are the only retailer to have earned this accreditation but of course, we’re keen to do more.”

Siobhan Forey, chief people officer at Boohoo Group said: “Our amazingly talented teams are constantly innovating, problem-solving, and trend-setting to bring to life the products our customers want.

“That’s why it’s so important that our teams reflect the diversity of the people we serve across the globe. Recruiting people from different backgrounds and with different points of view makes us a stronger business and able to deliver outstanding growth.”

A firm that has earned the Pride 365 accreditation has demonstrated its dedication to creating a ‘truly inclusive workforce’ and improving it daily.

Companies that partner with Pride 365 promise to “yearly incremental improvement for the sake of inclusion.”

Boohoo is the first retailer to join the ranks, although it has previously certified companies like the hotel chain Hilton and the automaker Nissan.

In order to contribute to the development of an inclusive society and workplace, Boohoo has made a commitment to do its bit. They also promise to play a significant role in putting an end to corporate exploitation of the LGBTQ+ community.

They intend to fulfill their commitment by 2024.

Pride 365 was launched in 2019 at World Pride’s 50th anniversary in New York, aiming to create a more inclusive place. They are the global partners of InterPride (the international organization that brings together Pride organizers from across the World to network).

It supports the LGBT+ community 365 days a year. Pride 365 empowers organisations to become catalysts for positive and inclusive change by putting a focus on real, actionable, and incremental improvement.

Pride 365 works internationally to break down barriers between people, helping to improve inclusion at a fundamental level.
