The Pride in London parade will be held tomorrow (2).
The parade is making a spectacular in-person comeback after a two-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, restrictions and cancellations.
The city will be flooded with LGBTQ+ -themed events, protests, and parties during Pride in London. The yearly Pride parade is at the heart of it all.
The 2022 campaign will recognise the torch bearers and their accomplishments, as well as the community’s progress as a movement during the previous 50 years.
The headline sponsors of this year`s Pride in London parade are the Mayor of London and Tesco.
Gold sponsors are BT, CMS International law firm, Coca-Cola, Gaydio (a radio station for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the UK), The Dilly Piccadilly Hotel, and Openreach (network connection).
Silver sponsors are Taimi (LGBTQ+ Dating App), Independent, and United Airlines.
Bronze sponsors are Google, Adobe, Hard Rock, Just Eat, Heart (radio station), NBC Universal International, PlayStation, Transport for London, and the City of Westminster.
The parade’s route will be the same as the one that demonstrators used in 1972 when the Gay Liberation Front organised a march that drew 1000 participants.
The parade’s marchers will assemble on Park Lane and then march along Haymarket, into Piccadilly Circus, and then turn left and continue toward Trafalgar Square before dispersing at Whitehall.
